Few people are aware that architect and designer Le Corbusier, known for his tubular metal furniture, also dabbled in wood, designing some pieces in oak and walnut in the 1950s. Now the Italian company Cassina has secured the rights to reproduce the line, Authentic Wood. WPA Chicago will introduce the work in this country, with pieces arriving around July 1. Prices will be discounted until July 21, when there’s an event (5:30 to 8 p.m.) celebrating the line. WPA, 314 W. Superior St., 312-335-3855, wpachicago.com
