Asian collectors’ items for sale, NeoCon returns, and a summer sidewalk sale

Pagoda Red (pagodared.com) is opening its warehouse at 1740 West Webster Avenue to the public this Saturday and Sunday for the Double Luck Warehouse Sale. Even if you’re not in the market for new home goods, it’s still worth it to check out what 20 years of collecting in China looks like. Sale items will be up to 80 percent off, and regular-priced items are 25 percent off. Shop Asian antiques including Mongolian cabinets, reclaimed timbers from 17th century Chinese homes, meditation stones, provincial benches, and porcelain pieces. In celebration of the lucky double gourd season, Pagoda Red is offering a chance to win a double gourd porcelain vessel when you subscribe with your email at the website.

NeoCon (222 Merchandise Mart Plaza, neocon.com), one of the largest commercial interior shows in North America, is back next week at the Merchandise Mart from June 13 to 15. With nearly one million square feet of exhibition space and four floors, you can see thousands of new product launches for building products, floor coverings, furniture, lighting, outdoor products, technology, textiles, tile, stone, and wall coverings. This three-day event showcases more than 500 leading companies in interior design with over 100 carefully curated seminars. Check the schedule for seminar hours and to see keynote speakers. You can register for free online or pay $25 at the door.

Dock 6 Collection (2100 N. Major Ave., dock6collective.com) is a group of independent furniture and cabinetmakers including Carson Maddox Studios, SAP Design, Navillus Woodworks, -ism, zakrose, and Lagomorph Design. This Saturday from 2 to 10 p.m., come check out the Dock6Design & Art #9 event where you can peruse new furniture designs, special featured artists, guest galleries, great food, and beers at their 50,000-square-foot facility.

The Wicker Park Bucktown (wickerparkbucktown.com) Summer Sidewalk Sale is happening this Saturday and Sunday along Damen Avenue from Webster Street south to North Avenue. Join the Comfy Fitness kick-off class at 10 a.m. Saturday at the 606’s Sculpture Plaza (Damen and Bloomingdale), and then participate in the Damen Avenue Scavenger Hunt starting at 11 a.m. while stilt walkers, balloon creations, and more entertainment line up all along Damen Avenue from 12 to 3 p.m. Unison, Hi Style Furniture, Haylan & West, Store B Vintage, Crossroads Trading, and Radiance Fine Jewelry are just some of the participating businesses in the sidewalk sale with great deals to offer.
