29, staff writer, Daily Herald
Attended the Latin School. Studied journalism at Syracuse University. Reports on the village of Hoffman Estates for the Daily Herald.
Money is always a factor. My parents, they come from India. A very impoverished country. We would go to the grocery store [here] and buy a pound of meat and my mother would say, "This is the amount of meat we had for a family of 11" ... I knew journalism was never going to be a lucrative field for me.... of course I would like more coin.... When you have that adrenaline kicking [on the job], nothing else really matters. You forget all the problems with money.... I'm 29; I'm not married. I don't know how long I can do this.
