1. Could Adam Dunn reverse course and finally be the powerhouse hitter in whose swing the Sox have invested $56 million?

2. The subject of off-season trade rumors, John Danks admitted that he was surprised by a five-year, $65 million contract. Potentially, Danks is this season’s top hurler.

3. Infielder Gordon Beckham says that, after a prolonged slump, his head is back in the game and he’s “not allowing” himself to fail.
