The Buzz Bin

When Macy’s bought Marshall Field’s, one tradition it didn’t jettison was the annual Glamorama. This monthlong fête culminates in a New York–style fashion show on August 24th, with models strutting a catwalk in fall looks from Calvin Klein, Alberta Ferretti, Marc Jacobs, Just Cavalli, Donna Karan, and others. The highlight is always the afterparty, when the dressed-to-the-nines crowd kick off their stilettos and grind to a DJ on a makeshift stage on Macy’s seventh floor.

For tickets, which start at $50 for the fashion show and $170 for the show and afterparty, call 312-902-1500.
