You likely have already seen such iconic Chicago murals as Jeff Zimmermann’s vibrant 260-foot-long painting at Oak Street Beach and the Mile of Murals in Rogers Park, but this summer those beloved pieces have some cool new company.

Case in point: this En Masse mural, photographed in progress by Brett Bulthuis in June. “It’s art that’s accessible to everybody,” says Jenni Button, who helped organize the project. “You can see it by driving by or walking by. It’s for the community. It’s for Chicago.”
