Hotel guests and locals who wander in, not expecting much, are in for a surprise at this casually glam place (owned by celeb chef Marcus Samuelsson). Nicole Pederson, the executive chef, dishes up all manner of excellence, combining seasonal ingredients and fresh flavors in a way that shows every element in the best possible light. She had us with starters of mushroom terrine and mini yellowtail tacos but knocked us out with entrées of grilled leg of lamb and tarragon-happy trout. We can’t stop thinking about them or about the blueberry-cardamom ice cream we had for dessert. Smart wines.
