Essential Information

535 N. Wells
Chicago, IL

At Suzy Crofton’s serene decade-old charmer, she wields her Jean Banchet–trained expertise to satisfy serious foodies. She forges bold American flavors with sophisticated French technique, beginning with roasted quail paired with pork belly and accompanied by blackberries and collard greens. Walleye pike in a dusting of dried cascabel chili and cornmeal, paired with refreshing kohlrabi slaw, shines with avocado mousse, while American Kobe flat iron steak is flat-out delicious with horseradish crème fraîche. You can count on terrific vegan/vegetarian options, such as corn johnnycakes with chanterelles and corn emulsion. Banana cream pie with macadamia nut brittle and port-fortified chocolate sauce is fab. Broadly priced boutique wines.
