THE POLITICS GEEK: Dave Lundy's favorite sites
Political consultant, activist, and recovering lawyer; board member of the Better Government Association, president of Aileron Communications, Chicago and Illinois political junkie

TheCapitolFaxBlog.com
"The site is great because it's really where the insiders go to talk," Lundy says. Launched in 2004, the site grew out of founder Rich Miller's political gossip sheet, which has been distributed by fax for 15 years.

BeachwoodReporter.com
Lundy visits The Beachwood Reporter for the withering Chicago-focused media and political criticism (although he also likes the sportswriting), authored by writers Lundy knows personally.

Illinoize
Administered by Capitol Fax's Miller, this site, at CapitalFax.blogspot.com, collects a wide swath of political bloggers from around the state in one forum to cover everything from campaigns to books.

Fritchey.blogspot.com
The personal blog of state representative John Fritchey. "It's really John venting his spleen," Lundy says. "He posts really thoughtful articles on governing and how Illinois governing should be done." Recent topics have included Governor Blagojevich's obstreperousness and the success of the Illini football team.
