Singled Out: Burger

In a town with no shortage of burgers, Duchamp’s is the best we’ve had in ages

Michael Taus, the three-star chef at Zealous in River North, promised he would make a top-notch, “really high-end burger” at Duchamp, his casual American bistro in Bucktown, and he kept his word. The Duchamp burger is a bona fide American beauty. Under a puffy dill bun and a melt of Havarti, the four-inch-tall hulk of three freshly ground meats (including filet mignon) weighs in at eight glorious ounces. In a town with no shortage of burgers, Duchamp’s is the juiciest, the beefiest, and the best we’ve had in ages. 2118 N. Damen Ave.; 773-235-6434.
