It's pronounced "lah-REE-sah." I correct people one or two times before I give up. It means "the laughter" in Spanish. I do tend to smile and laugh a lot. You have to have a name that fits you. // I was a gymnast from age 3 to 14. Every once in a while, if I see a patch of grass, I'll do a back handspring. Sometimes when I'm just walking down a long hallway at work, I think, Wouldn't it be cool to do a few cartwheels? // I was home a couple of months ago, looking through some boxes, and I found this old ratty T-shirt that I had made in first or second grade. It said, "When I grow up I'll be a lawyer." I thought, Oh, my God. Even from the beginning, I always knew. // I don't think you can look at someone's job and really know who that person is. I'll be out in a bulletproof vest* in the morning and at a club in heels and a dress that same night. // I like to argue. I will always play devil's advocate.
