“When I was in high school, I thought I was going to be a takeover guy. Maybe because I saw Wall Street or Pretty Woman. But the way my cards played was to get involved with entrepreneurs. It’s fascinating to work with people who have such a belief in something, they’ll run through walls to grow their businesses.”

“My first job? I worked at a country club, valet parking cars for Sunday brunch, and during the week I was a snack-bar attendant at the pool, which had benefits: free food, meeting lots of friends. Girls.”

“I’m racing for a sense of accomplishment. I’m not going to be the one who’s going to win. Training for a triathlon is almost like a second job. It’s probably an average of 30-something hours per week. But when you cross the finish line, it erases all of the painful moments.”
