“My mom was Ms. St. Louis, and I’m sure that had a lot to do with my being in pageants. But she was never a pageant mom. It was always: ‘Go out there. Have a good time. If you don’t, we’ll go swim in the pool.’”
“I have two different size feet, so I sometimes fall into things. I spill drinks. When I was in college, on the dance team at DePaul, I was going up for a toe touch and I accidentally kicked the University of Kansas coach in the crotch.”
“I love the entertainment business, but at the same time, I’m also a bookworm.”
“I used to get nervous when I danced at games. Now I see it as an adrenaline rush. I’m more nervous one-on-one, or with a small group, because you can see individual reactions; you can’t look away. With 20,000 people you can just look at someone else.”
