We asked Mark Mitchell, a New Zealand native who works for Broadleaf, a Los Angeles-based beef importer, whether Japan's famously pampered Kobe cattle really receive massages. "No. No. No," he said. "There are men who don't want to massage women. How are we going to get them to massage cattle?"
