SUGARTOAD
Hotel Arista
2139 CityGate Lane, Naperville
630-778-8623

American southern restaurant in a lovely new hotel in Naperville. What we like about the dining room is that it’s whimsical with a clever mural on the back wall, which looks like an extension of the room with more tables, exactly like the tables you will be seated at. The characters in the mural look like Southern gentry from another century. They always have a locavore menu and there’s even a chef’s garden on the property. We particularly appreciate that in addition to traditional choices such as turkey and stuffing or American Kobe top sirloin with potato croquettes, there is a vegetarian option of roasted chestnut soup and risotto. And because the holiday is all about being thankful for the bounty enjoyed year-round, Chef Geoffrey Rhyne will surprise guests with complimentary dishes to share.

THE MEAL: Three courses with choices
THE DEAL: $45 for adults; $22.50 for kids ages 6 to 12; free for kids five and under
ESSENTIAL INFO: Thanksgiving will be served from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Reservations can be made by calling SugarToad at 630-778-8623.
