Dry-ice martini from Mastro's Steakhouse

Mastro’s, the swanky chain of power steak houses popular out west, is opening its first Midwest outpost in the completely revamped Blue Water Grill space. In this meat-driven city, we know the drill (wet-aged beef, a formidable collection of hearty sides, the whole nine yards). But Mark Levy, a partner, promises a distinctive ambiance. “The one thing that I think really differentiates us is it’s more a supper-club-type environment,” he says. Nightly live piano entertainment will feature everything from Frank Sinatra to Elton John. Just don’t get too carried away in your rendition of “Tiny Dancer” after a few signature cocktails, like a dry-ice martini (pictured). 520 N. Dearborn St.; 312-521-5100.
