It’s not as though Billy Lawless invented noisy restaurants, but when he opened The Gage across from Millennium Park, visions of earplugs danced in our heads. Now Lawless is about to unveil Henri next door, so we had to ask. “Henri will be elegant, very intimate,” he said, throwing around words like “chandeliers” and “settees.” And the food? “The menu will be very classic, representative of cuisine through the ages.” After waxing on about lamb chateaubriand and lobster Wellington, Lawless mentioned that he’s learned a lot about sound engineering. If that’s true, Henri sounds very good to us. 18 S. Michigan Ave.; 312-578-0763.
