Italian-born, tour-de-force interior designer Alessandra Branca made her name with her trademark “classic, with a wink” design sensibility. Her concept shop is dedicated to that aesthetic, using the first floor of a townhouse laid out like a house to showcase furniture and home accents in their appropriate context. The merchandise is true to her signature mix-and-match style, featuring antique and vintage furniture ranging from the 17th century to the 1940s, new furniture adorned with antique textiles, and a constantly changing selection of one-of-a-kind pieces Branca finds on her travels. Customers can also belly up to the 13 ft. ebonized bar to flip through the catalog of furniture at her storehouse. Home accents and gift items run the gamut from engraved glassware ($15) to dishes, notebooks, lamps, and candles. The majority of new merchandise is of her own design through her private label.
