Here’s an Idea for an Affordable Wedding Dress That Doubles as a Party Outfit

The French Courtship Slip Dress from Free People looked great on a bride at a recent wedding—and it’s just $98.

My BFF’s wedding was last Saturday. It was everything I imagined it would be: intimate, creative, and far from typical. The beautiful boho bride has never been one to concern herself with conventionality, so I had no idea what she’d emerge wearing.

It was this lacy French Courtship Slip from Free People. And with its plunging back “V” and short under-slip, it was both breathtaking and sexy. And it cost $98!

Anna chose the tea color, which actually looked quite bridelike. After a click-through of all six colors options, I’m thinking I may need to own my own version—either in berry or evergreen. As you’ll see in the photos on the website, the model sports the dress with a black leather biker jacket and suddenly the look has gone from romantic and wedding-worthy to bad ass and night out-ready.

$98. Available at multiple city Free People locations and freepeople.com.
