Last week: The owners of El Gallo Bravo in Albany Park have produced Autentico 5 de Mayo (3223 N. Clark St., 773-880-0082), open 24 hours a day for American breakfast food and Mexican tacos, enchiladas, and flautas.
Friday, 4/5: The team behind Chicago Curry House will serve traditional Nepalese and Indian cuisine at Nepal House (1301 S. Michigan Ave., 312-922-0601).
David Burkeplans mini sandwiches in the old JBar space at 610 North Rush Street, with help from Primehouse chef Rick Gresh.
Wicker Park’s Big Star is expanding both its indoor and outdoor operations, adding patio seating to an adjacent parking lot and leasing the 1,500-square-foot space next door. Let’s hope this development shortens the two-hour wait time.
Harper Court in Hyde Park will gain not only a Park Tavern and Ja’ Grill, but also a 2,500-square-foot second location for Porkchop this summer.
