Weekend Photos: Mayoral Candidate Meet and Greet @ Chicago Urban Art Society

Posted Feb 14, 2011 at 12:59 PM

Which mayoral candidate will woo the youth vote? Gery Chico and Miguel del Valle each made a bid Friday night by putting in an appearance at a free schmoozefest hosted by the hip gallery–slash–community center Chicago Urban Art Society, in Pilsen. Also on tap: silk screening demos, lots of art to ogle, and beer. Which brings us to the real question, candidates: Old Style or PBR? Browse our photos below.

About Seen on the Scene

Call it bar hopping by proxy: Each week we send our photographers into the thick of the action to capture the latest openings and the most buzzed-about events; then, on Mondays, we post the photos here, where you can view them without getting elbowed in the side or having a drink spilled down your pants. You’re welcome. And for those who do run into our photographers out and about, be sure to smile for the camera.
