Weekend Photos: DryHop Brewers’ Beer Release at Paddy Long’s

Posted Feb 18, 2013 at 11:18 AM

Although DryHop Brewers isn’t slated to open until May, the crew sufficiently whet appetites Friday night by offering a taste of what’s to come at their Lake View gastro-brewery. Paddy Long’s hosted the party, pouring DryHop’s “Shot a Man in Simcoe” (a hop-happy Belgo-IPA created as a collaboration between DryHop’s brewer, Brant Dubovick, and Lake Effect Brewing) for a handful of lucky beer geeks and neighborhood folks. The tap ran dry before we could get our hands on what we’re told was a darn tasty beer, but we took solace in the fact that we’ll have another chance to taste it tomorrow at 7 p.m. at Fischman Liquors.

About Seen on the Scene

Call it bar hopping by proxy: Each week we send our photographers into the thick of the action to capture the latest openings and the most buzzed-about events; then, on Mondays, we post the photos here, where you can view them without getting elbowed in the side or having a drink spilled down your pants. You’re welcome. And for those who do run into our photographers out and about, be sure to smile for the camera.
