Weekend Photos: Trenchermen

Posted Jul 30, 2012 at 11:30 AM

We were starting to feel like the only scenesters in town who hadn’t visited Trenchermen yet, so we resolved to remedy that on Friday night. Our first stop was the bar, where crack cocktailian Tona Palomino (formerly of New York’s wd~50) and his team utilize kitchen flavors and techniques to craft drinks such as the multi-colored Heart of Darkness II—a Palomino signature combining rye, yellow Chartreuse, Amaro, and smoked bitters. Moving into the dining room (where Kevin Heisner cleverly incorporates contemporary architectural elements into industrial-age design), we found a hip crowd sampling farm-to-table small plates, courtesy of of chefs/brothers Michael and Patrick Sheerin.

About Seen on the Scene

Call it bar hopping by proxy: Each week we send our photographers into the thick of the action to capture the latest openings and the most buzzed-about events; then, on Mondays, we post the photos here, where you can view them without getting elbowed in the side or having a drink spilled down your pants. You’re welcome. And for those who do run into our photographers out and about, be sure to smile for the camera.
