Weekend Photos: Homestead’s Season Closing Party

Posted Oct 15, 2012 at 03:23 PM

What does a restaurant as hyper-local as Homestead—a West Town rooftop bistro that grows much of the produce on its fresh, comfort-food menu—do when cold weather shuts down the gardening season? Throw a big dinner party, and then say goodbye until next spring. Last Saturday, we dropped in as the restaurant’s final guests of the year raised their glasses over candlelit plates of lamb tartare, braised pork belly, and other farm-to-table fare.

About Seen on the Scene

Call it bar hopping by proxy: Each week we send our photographers into the thick of the action to capture the latest openings and the most buzzed-about events; then, on Mondays, we post the photos here, where you can view them without getting elbowed in the side or having a drink spilled down your pants. You’re welcome. And for those who do run into our photographers out and about, be sure to smile for the camera.
