City Winery

2/8–9 at 6 David Crosby. It’s been 20 years since the founding member of Crosby, Stills, and Nash released new music, and now the singer-songwriter ventures into the fray with his solo album Croz. $45–$65.
2/21–23 at 6 Steve Earle. Last in town in September, the veteran roots rocker continues to mix honky-tonk with gritty guitar. Canadian country singer (yes, they exist) Leeroy Stagger joins the fun. $66–$86.

Pixies

2/9 at 8 The Pixies recently ran into some snafus when longtime bassist Kim Deal quit and replacement bassist Kim Shattuck got fired. But with new bassist Paz Lenchantin now slated to go on tour with the band, perhaps the cherished ’90s cult figures can find their groove again. $50. Riviera Theatre, 4746 N Racine. jamusa.com

Sting and Paul Simon

2/25 at 8 Fun fact: The two ’80s icons once lived in the same apartment building. So consider it kismet that they’re now uniting for a mash-up tour where they’ll perform both individually and together, Watch the Throne–style. $45–$250. United Center, 1901 W Madison, ticketmaster.com
