Goose Island's Wrigleyville brewpub (3535 N. Clark St.) is back from the dead–and between its large beer garden and proximity to the Cubs' home turf, it couldn't have come at a better time.

Crowds tend to come and go based on how things are going on the ball field, which means the place is busiest before and after games and tends to be a bit on the quiet side while the gameplay is under way. This is actually a benefit. It makes for a great place to watch baseball without dealing with sloppy, party-hearty crowds, and it's a safe space to bring the family. Best of all, it means no fighting for a table outside in the brick-walled beer garden, a pleasant place to linger over pints of the brewery's steadfast offerings. In short, it's an ideal place to pass the time during a Cubs game if tickets are hard to come by.

Here's what all we saw when we stopped in this weekend.
