Terrible news: Summer is ending. Drink away your pain at the Summer Send-Off at Dove’s Luncheonette (1545 N. Damen Ave., Wicker Park, 773-645-4060). From today through Friday, the spot will beef up their rosé offerings, and each pour (ranging from $5 to $8) will come with a complimentary 1-ounce serving of Tequila Ocho Blanco.

Arcade Brewery has been boozing around town for a full year, and to mark the occasion, they’re having a party at the Chop Shop’s 1st Ward event space (2033 W. North Ave., Wicker Park, 773-537-4440). It’ll serve as a release party as well for their new Boss Battle beer called Pale Minotaur, the first in what will be an annual series to be released on their birthday. Local H will also perform—tickets are $15 and available here.

Wednesday, September 2

Dig into some tasty crustaceans at the Rockin’ Lobster Bash, a team effort between WXRT and Supreme Lobster to celebrate the summeriest of seafood. Tickets aren’t cheap–$90 a pop—but they come with unlimited eats from chefs such as Rick Bayless, Ryan McCaskey, and Matt Troost, plus custom cocktails. Buy tickets to the party, which takes place at Revel Fulton Market (1215 W. Fulton Market, West Loop), here.
