Deadbolt Is the Quintessential Hot New Bar in Logan Square

All the elements for a buzzworthy spot are in place.

Deadbolt (2412 N. Milwaukee Ave., Logan Square) checks all the boxes for the latest destination in cool-kid drinking. A mysterious-looking entrance that gives way to an artfully distressed drinking space? Yep. Cocktails made by a mixologist with an excellent pedigree and winkingly clever names? Yes (Dustin Drankiewicz, late of Moneygun) and yes (because you’re probably thirsty for a Brojito). DJs who can bring people out to the intimate dance floor without overcrowding it? Oh yes.

Formerly the lovably dingy Two-Way Lounge, this hip cocktail joint packed in plenty of flannel-sporting drinkers in its first weekend in operation, who enjoyed an evening of cocktails and bar bites. Expect it to stay busy for the foreseeable future.

Here’s what we saw when we stopped in.
