Monday, January 25

Toast to the third birthday of Billy Sunday (3143 W. Logan Blvd., Logan Square, 773-661-2485) with a menu of 10 special cocktails from the bar’s early days for $10 each. You can enjoy your Plank Road (tequila, sotol, sassafras bitters, and agave) or another cocktail tonight through Wednesday.

Thursday, January 28

Dig into some meat and beer at an Off Color Brewing tap takeover at County Barbeque (1352 W. Taylor St., University Village, 312-929-2528). You’ll be able to pair your eight-ounce pour of DinoS’mores beer (or one of several other Off Color brews) with a giant beef rib known as the Dino Bone starting at 6 p.m.

Saturday, January 30

It’s practically paczki season, so craft a few of your own at a paczki-making class with the crew at Delightful Pastries. At their Jefferson Park shop (5927 W. Lawrence Ave., 773-545-7215), you’ll bake and take multiple flavors of the seasonal pastry as well as some chrusciki (crispy angel wing pastry). Make a reservation for the $65 class here.

Sunday, January 31

There are still some tickets available for the d’Vine Affair at the Union League Club of Chicago (65 W. Jackson St., Loop), the annual wine and beer tasting event that benefits the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago. Your $125 ticket gets you access to more than 250 types of vino, plus a beer tasting room and several auctions.

Mindy Segal will dive into the kitchen at Sink|Swim (3213 W. Armitage Ave., Logan Square, 773-486-7465) for a six-course dinner with help from chef Matt Danko. If you’d like in on the $65 meal, make a reservation here.
