When it comes to outdoor drinking with a view, there may be few options better than the brand new City Winery on the Riverwalk (11 W. Riverwalk South, Loop, 312-733-9463). You’ll never have to settle for indoor seating when all you want is to perch on a patio, because here, al fresco drinking is the only kind they do.
On days where the weather’s as nice as it was on Sunday, the place is hopping, with tables filled with people noshing on sandwiches and lingering as boats float by (you can even dock next to the bar and take a drink break.) There are long benches and bar seating, perfect for people-watching (of which there is plenty). And, obviously, there’s plenty of wine.
