There Was a Whole Lot of Green at the St. Pat’s Parade

Downtown turned into a sea of green for the annual occasion.

Were you aware that people were celebrating St. Patrick’s Day this past weekend? You probably were, because every corner of the city was covered in revelers clad in all green. And the biggest celebration of all, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and river-dyeing extravaganza, took over much of downtown during Saturday afternoon.

There was plenty to take in along the route from floats to step-dancers, police officers to plumbers. And, of course, tons of great people-watching among the spectators, too, as a blessedly lovely day brought out partiers in full force.

Here’s what all we saw as the parade breezed by.
