Sample several beers from forthcoming local outfit Like Minds at a Mexican-inspired paired dinner at Bangers & Lace (810 Grove St., Evanston, 847-905-0854). Your $48 ticket gets you five courses (including tacos and pozole) and five beer samples (such as a quince saison.) Dinner starts at 6 p.m.

If you want a beer dinner but happen to be in River North, you can get one at Bohemian House (11 W. Illinois St., River North, 312-855-0439) tonight and tomorrow. Their $65 slate includes such combos as braised Berkshire pork with a Cuvée des Jacobins Rouge. The menu’s on offer from 5 to 11 p.m.

Sunday, March 20

Can’t wait for Furious Spoon to hit Logan Square? Get an early taste at a pop-up at Chicago Distilling Company (2359 W. Milwaukee Ave., Logan Square, 872-206-2774), where $15 gets you a cocktail and a Furious entree from 4 to 7 p.m. Get tickets here.

There are still tickets available for the 6 p.m. edition of “California Dreaming,” a wine tour through the state put on by the team at Eno (505 N. Michigan Ave., River North, 312-321-8788). You’ll sample several West Coast wines while snacking on charcuterie and cheese. Buy $55 tickets here.

Round out your weekend with some fried chicken and bingo at River Valley Farmer’s Table (1820 W. Wilson Ave., Ravenswood, 872-208-3267). You can gorge on poultry, biscuits, and desserts while you play bingo, the proceeds of which go to local food pantry Common Pantry. The $35 tickets are for sale here.
