Monday, May 16

Match Solemn Oath beers to appropriate artisan cheeses during a tasting at the Map Room (1949 N. Hoyne Ave., Bucktown, 773-252-7636). David Phillips of Cheese and Cheers will be orchestrating the six combos, and you can get in on the sampling for $35.

Party time! If you’re drinking in the lounge at Tesori (65 E. Adams St., Loop, 312-636-5029) and spend at least $20, you can earn two complimentary pizzas by saying “pizza party” to your server. (It’s in honor of the dubious celebration of National Pizza Party Day on May 20.) The deal is good through Thursday.

Thursday, May 19

It’s time again for Beer Under Glass, the annual brewfest (and kickoff to Chicago Craft Beer Week) that takes place inside the Garfield Park Conservatory (300 N. Central Park Ave). Your $60 general admission ticket to the event, which starts at 6:30 p.m., includes a souvenir glass and tons of tastings.

If you’re into sustainable seafood, California-based fast-casual spot Slapfish will be popping up at Ampersand (419 W. Superior St., River North). Should you wish to feast on clam chowder fries and albacore poke, only the 6 p.m. seating has tickets available ($55, grab them here).

Saturday, May 21

Sip on blackberry frozen lemonade at Cocoa + Co. (1651 N. Wells St., Old Town, 312-624-8540). In honor of its first birthday, the chocolate shop will be selling the beverage for $1 starting at 1 p.m. today and tomorrow.
