This Week’s Top Story

Had a stressful week? Float Sixty (303 W. Erie St., floatsixty.com) is now open in River North. At the tranquil venue, visitors have meditative “float sessions” in sensory deprivation tanks, which are private pools filled with 10 inches of water and 1,000 pounds of Epsom salt. Colorful lights and music enhance the sessions; there’s also a dimly lit meditation room that’s available for rental by the half-hour.

Top Sales This Week

Brooks Brothers at Oakbrook Center (212 Oakbrook Center, Oak Brook, brooksbrothers.com) will offer 18 percent off purchases during a shopping event that will run from 5 to 8 p.m. this evening. Stacy Wallace-Albert, the brand’s principal women’s stylist, will be on hand to offer styling tips; the event will also showcase the Spring/Summer 2016 women’s collection by Zac Posen.

Meyvn (meyvnshop.com), the menswear boutique in Logan Square, will host a sample sale at Chicago Athletic Association Hotel (12 S. Michigan Ave.) April 9 to 10. The sale takes up to 80 percent off denim, footwear, outerwear, and more; brands include Engineered Garments, Needles, and Stone Island.

Scoop NYC (1009 N. Rush St., scoopnyc.com) has partnered with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to offer 25 percent discounts on storewide merchandise through April 10. The store will donate five percent of all profits to the hospital. The promotion is also available online.

LOFT (local stores here, loft.com) is taking 30 percent off all full-priced merchandise April 13 to 18. The sale will take place in stores and online, and will apply to pieces like a jungle-print Maxi dress and a mixed stone statement necklace.

Pop-Ups

Luxury Garage Sale (luxurygaragesale.com) will host a pop-up shop at 12 East 1st Street in Hinsdale today through May 7. The shop offers designer consignment from labels such as Chanel, Hermes, and Valentino.
