Scoop NYC (1009 N. Rush St., scoopnyc.com) hosts its first “Ultimate Closet Clean-Up Sale” in Chicago starting Saturday through March 20. All sale merchandise will be an additional 60 percent off, for discounts of up to 85 percent. The contemporary store carries women’s styles from the likes of Mary Katrantzou, Zac Posen, and Rag & Bone; menswear designers include Vince, Wrk, and JLindberg.

Top Sales This Week

Barbour (54 E. Walton St., barbour.com) is having its winter sale with discounts on coats for men, women, and children. Bags and luggage and accessories are also discounted.

Bebe (109 E. Oak St., bebe.com) has taken an additional 30 percent off already discounted merchandise. Sale prices apply to tops, jeans, dresses, and skirts.

At Lincoln Park’s Art Effect (934 W. Armitage Ave., shoparteffect.com) sale items include dark jeans from Mavi (reduced to $89 from $118) and a railroad-spike pendant necklace from Giles and Brother (reduced to $60 from $100).


Combatant Gentleman, an online retailer for men, will host its first-ever brick-and-mortar pop-up at Nordstrom (55 E. Grand Ave., nordstrom.com) on Saturday and Sunday. The pop-up will sell ties, casual and formal shirts, and wool suits. There will also be complimentary whiskey and beer tastings, and made-to-measure fittings for guests who reserve an appointment online.


Bonobos (bonobos.com), another online men’s retailer, opens its second Chicago store this spring. According to the Chicago Tribune, the store will be on the second floor of the Shops at 900 North Michigan (900 N. Michigan Ave., shop900.com). Bonobos also has a store in Lincoln Park.


Vividbraille (2064 N. Damen Ave., vividbraille.com) will close its Bucktown boutique at the end of the month. Until then everything in the shop will be 50 percent off. After the store closes, the brand will continue to sell casual clothing from American brands online.
