This Week’s Top Story

Tiffany & Co. (730 N. Michigan Ave., tiffany.com) unveiled (most of) its newly redesigned store on Wednesday. While the finishing touches are being put on the jewelry stalwart’s grand staircase and upstairs area, much of the renovation is complete. New touches include Tiffany-blue awnings decking the entrance, an extra 1,400-square-feet of space, and the first Tiffany Watch Salon in the Americas. But some things never change: Gleaming display cases still hold diamond-flecked engagement rings and collections designed by Elsa Peretti and Paloma Picasso. Reps estimate that the store’s renovation will wrap this weekend.

Top Sales This Week

At Pratesi (67 E. Oak St., pratesi.com), an Italian luxury linen brand, cotton and cashmere robes are 30 to 50 percent off. (Bonus: there are two sheet sets left for 70 percent off.) The sale runs indefinitely, though staffers guess the last discounted pieces will be snapped up quickly.

Items from the spring/summer collection from Parisian ready-to-wear brand Maje (70 E. Oak St., us.maje.com) are 50 to 60 percent off. Red-dot items are discounted by an additional 20 percent. But act fast: The sale will be liquidated next week.

At women’s boutique Handle With Care (1706 N. Wells St., handlewithcareboutique.com), the last remaining summer merchandise is 60 percent off while supplies last. The majority of sale inventory includes maxi dresses and tops, and sizes are limited.
