This Week’s Top Story

The annual Renegade Craft Fair (renegadecraft.com) returns to Division Street (between Damen Avenue and Paulina Street) on Saturday and Sunday. The fair runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days, and admission is free. Some 350 makers—both local and not—will showcase bags, jewelry, and clothing. There will also be a selection of vintage clothes from vendors including First Ladies and Lost Girls.

Top Sale This Week

Rag & Bone (25 E. Delaware Pl., rag-bone.com) has a small sale selection of 50-percent-off items from the summer collection; some jeans are available as well. The sale runs indefinitely.

A pop-up shop called “New Classics” is now open at the Nordstrom Michigan Avenue location (55 E. Grand Ave., shop.nordstrom.com). The quirky inventory is meant to reflect iconic elements of the American lifestyle—think gourmet pickles, t-shirts printed with Brooke Shields’s face, and, um, a stepladder. The shop is open through November 1.

The Designer Closet, a pop-up shop featuring new and gently used goods from labels such as Lanvin, Jimmy Choo, and Zac Posen, will pop up at the 900 North Michigan Shops (900 N. Michigan Ave., shop900.com) on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. All proceeds benefit Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital.

Tonight, Sabah Shoes hosts the second night of its debut shopping event in Chicago. The brand’s stylish, slip-on shoes are made with high-quality leather by Turkish craftsmen; they’re available only by order from the Sabah House in Manhattan. The event runs from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Penthouse at Freehand Hotel (19 E. Ohio St., thefreehand.com).

Rent the Runway (710 N. Wabash Ave., renttherunway.com) is putting on a series of in-store events highlighting female entrepreneurs. The first installation, set to take place Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m., will feature Revae Schneider of Femme du Coupe. Schneider will discuss her business and lead a mixology workshop, and guests will score 20 percent off rentals.
