His impressive educational pedigree includes Washington University in St. Louis, the University of Michigan Medical School, Mayo Clinic Arizona's general surgery residency program, a plastic surgery residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and the prestigious Hunstad Kortesis Center Aesthetic Fellowship. He is board-certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
In addition to his role as a clinician, Dr. Krochmal actively engages in safety initiatives and select committee memberships for national organizations. His research focus includes outcomes following abdominoplasty, buttocks fat grafting, and large volume liposuction. He sits on the Patient Safety Committees for both the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). He is passionate about expanding access to healthcare, and serves on the Legislative Advocacy Committee for ASPS to advance those initiatives.
