RIVER WEST
FROM $230,000
TO $1 million

Over the past dozen years, the architect and developer Jack Berger has quietly put his stamp on Chicago’s River West neighborhood. Now, with Mondial, the latest residential building from his Citta Development, Berger isn’t keeping quiet. The eye-catching 15-story structure, at 900 West Huron Street, looks wider at the top than at the bottom, seems propped up on one end by parking tiers, and has glass elevators that overlook a large landscaped entry plaza. The condos themselves are distinguished by contemporary kitchens, big doors and windows, and glass-walled balconies, some of which wrap around the building’s corners.

At presstime, 88 of the building’s 140 units remained for sale and ready for immediate occupancy. They ranged from a 738-square-foot one-bedroom condo priced at $230,000, to a 2,900-square-foot four-bedroom condo with a 3,000-square-foot terrace and a $1-million price tag. Parking spaces cost $29,900. Brant Booker of Jameson is handling sales.
