The Chicago Symphony Orchestra presents

a season that will leave you transformed.

This September, Riccardo Muti returns to Chicago to kick off a new season of music, leading the CSO in Stravinsky’s suite from The Firebird, Liadov’s The Enchanted Lake and Brahms’ Second Symphony.

All are invited to celebrate what’s possible when great talents unite with Muti and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at Symphony Ball — an unforgettable, red-carpet evening complete with champagne toast. The formidable Leonidas Kavakos joins the CSO for Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto and the program concludes with instrumental selections from Italian operas by Puccini, Verdi and more.

In November, Kavakos returns to present Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring, as well as his rendition of Szymanowski’s Second Violin Concerto. The Chicago Symphony Chorus shines in Holst’s The Planets, and jazz, blues, and classical meet in Gershwin’s Piano Concerto in F featuring Illinois native Conrad Tao, paired with Bernstein’s beloved West Side Story dances.

Throughout the season, the CSO performs repertoire from five different centuries representing a broad range of compositional voices — from the great symphonists like Beethoven, Brahms, and Mahler to musical storytellers such as Holst, Ravel, and Stravinsky. The Symphony Center Presents series offers ample opportunities to witness some of today’s most distinguished artists — from intimate chamber collaborations to stirring piano recitals and groundbreaking jazz performances.

Whether you’re craving inspiration, community, novelty or the comfort of music dear to you, you will find it at Symphony Center.
