The Painted Lady has opened its second location on (where else?) hopping Grand Avenue (1818 W. Grand, to be exact). Owner Beth Harlow describes this location (which doesn’t even have its sign up yet) as having a “bit more urban feel” than the girly shabby-chic vibe at the Damen Avenue original. They’ve still got cozy painted country stuff, but fewer of the carved, more ornate pieces. Think vintage Louis-style chairs upholstered in feed sacks with funky accessories like wrought iron cowboy bookends and vintage sap buckets, with some mod lighting in the mix.
