One of our favorite stores, @WorkDesign at 5500 W. Madison St., Forest Park, is closing. If you’ve got a modern design sensibility and are looking to outfit a home office (or, really, any room or even outdoor space) head over right away—everything in the store is on sale. Two great deals: The Orbit chandelier (now just $329; was $450) and the Frank Pouffe ($300; was $617). Your college-bound child could be rockin’ some of these office supplies, too, especially fun felt desk items.

 

Another closing sale: Pierre Deux (660 N. Wabash, 312-202-1290), which is in bankruptcy, is liquidating its French Country stock (most furniture, about 50% off; accessories, 30-40% off). Our scout, CH+G art director Megan Duffy Rostan, reports that there’s still a lot of merchandise to choose from.
