Why do some rooms speak to us? We review projects periodically in staff meetings, and loved this sunroom. I like the settee with its cheerful yellow print and long accent pillow, and the layering of the rugs. The sun filtering in doesn’t hurt, either. Lauren Lozano Ziol has been working on this home for a Highland Park family for about seven years. Says Ziol: “This is the sunroom off the great room. We wanted it to be bright and airy with a little pop of color. My client wanted this space to be ‘fun’. I added the different fabrics and textures to make it feel warm and cozy yet still clean and not cluttered. We found the deco chairs at a Marshall Field’s flea market sale; the sofa is Jonathan Adler. The chandelier is from Jayson Home and sculpture is from Baker.”
