We saw lots of cool stuff at the first-annual Design Harvest Festival on Grand Ave. last weekend (we hear it was so successful that plans are already underway for a bigger Harvest next October) but these tables in particular caught our eye. (OK, I’m lying. My mother saw them first.) They’re made by John Lindsay in his Skokie-based New Breed Furniture Network workshop of solid quarter-sawn white oak with solid wood joinery. “The penetrations through the top create a very sculptural piece that lets space and light flow through and around it,” Lindsay says.
