Arteriors, a home furnishings company with a showroom on the 14th floor of the Merchandise Mart, recently started carrying a line by interior designer Barry Dixon. The collection has some 60 pieces, including lamps, mirrors, vases, tables, and more inspired by Dixon’s travels around the world. A few of the knock-outs are lamp bases inspired by a 1930s Italian urn, cast bronze sculptures of pods collected on a safari in Botswana, and 9-foot tall replicas of screens salvaged from a country church on the Mississippi Delta. Think of the collection as a way to introduce other cultures into your home without paying for round-trip airfare.
