This is a good reason to be a guest at home design store Neighborly.

The North Center boutique Neighborly (2003 W. Montrose Ave.) is always worth swinging by if you’re in the hood—it is full of great gifts and home décor items.

This weekend, the shop is launching a series of events called House Guest at Neighborly that will give you even more of a reason to visit. For the events, the owners will invite a local indie designer to do a combination trunk show, shop takeover, and meet-and-greet. The first one happens this Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m. with Julie Morelli and Andy Schwegler from Nourishing Notes (the clever letterpress company that makes food-inspired cards, art, towels, and totes).

You’ll get to see new products, enjoy small bites, and sample tastings from Neighborly’s neighbors, Koval and Begyle Brewing.
