Salvaged china, including a set from the U.S. Navy

The name says it all at Yearbook, a new Forest Park antiques shop with a collegiate, Brimfield-meets-P.O.S.H vibe. “We’re documenting the first half or so of the last century,” says Jef Anderson, a store merchandiser turned graphic designer who opened the shop with his partner, Noel Eberline, a manager in the technology industry, after years of perfecting the Yearbook aesthetic in their Oak Park home. Filled with mid-century modernist pieces, library chairs, globes, metal cabinets, plaid blankets, and ephemera (school patches, beer glasses), the shop feels cozy and familiar. New merchandise with a throwback feel includes pillows made from vintage fabrics and dinnerware by Homer Laughlin China (makers of Fiesta), whose vintage pieces can also be found at Yearbook. “We wanted people to be able to buy a full set,” says Anderson. Design services are available.
