Just because we’re urbanites doesn’t mean we can’t live out our beachy fantasies—Chicago’s beside a lake, for goodness’ sake. Enter the Serena & Lily Design Shop, the wicker-happy e-commerce brand’s first Midwest brick-and-mortar, brimming with seersucker linens, rattan porch swings, and tasseled sling chairs. The massive studio, stocked with a couple of hundred take-home fabric swatches and staffed by almost a dozen knowledgeable decorators, lets you check out the goods IRL. One favorite: the Shore dining chair with a cabana-striped cushion ($468, pictured), which is perfect for turning a deck or side yard into an inland oceanfront retreat.
