Critic’s Notes

An elegant departure from typical Thai restaurants, Herb dresses up well-trod favorites (think green papaya salads, lemongrass chicken, and sweet-and-sour snapper) in sumptuous ways. Pair a refreshing starter, such as salmon-apple salad, with any number of visually thrilling entrée choices, which come dappled with creative accents—for example, tamarind flowers (beef and tamarind soup) and honey bacon (crab and prawns with glass noodles).

Dishes We Liked

Lemongrass chicken with peanut sauce and sweet-and-sour noodles ($10); salmon with fried shallots and tamarind sauce ($12); beef with potatoes, turmeric, and Madras curry paste ($19); red snapper with Broccolini, onions, crispy betel leaves, and spicy sweet-and-sour sauce ($29)
