Pelago Ristorante

Raffaello Hotel, 201 E. Delaware Pl.
Chicago, IL 60611

Critic’s Notes

At this white-tablecloth affair, Mauro Mafrici makes pastas that don’t often leave the old country—garganelli with sage-hen ragu and veal ravioli in silky pistachio sauce—and Italian delicacies such as roast rabbit. But they come at a steep cost, especially for the rather timid appetizers. Invest in the wine list instead.

Dishes We Liked

Veal ravioli with pistachio sauce ($24), tube pasta with lamb ragu ($24), roasted rolled pig and duck ($36), chocolate and vanilla truffle $20
